KTVI’s King to co-host ‘GMA Sunday’

Dana King, a news anchor at KTVI-TV, St. Louis, has been named co-host of “Good Morning America/Sunday,” set for Jan. 3, 1993.

King has been with KTVI-TV since July 1990. She recently was nominated for an Emmy Award for work as anchor at the station. She won an Emmy in 1989 for a monthlong series on drug abuse.

She began her career in 1982 as an advertising sales rep in Los Angeles. She became a field reporter for KABC in 1987 and went on to co-anchor the station’s early morning news.

The hourlong Sunday edition of the highly rated weekday gabfest will air at 8 a.m. Jack Reilly, executive producer of “GMA,” will also oversee the weekend edition.
