Rico Cattani, 64, president of Cattani Films, died Nov. 12 at Cedars Sinai Hospital of Adult Respiratory Disease Syndrome caused by a chronic heart condition.
Born in Italy, he later emigrated to the U.S. in 1957, where he became a regular on the “Combat” television series.
He also wrote several episodes.
He was involved in show business for 50 years as an actor, producer and manager in film and TV. He was a producer with Dimension Pictures and American-European Entertainment, a production executive for Bernhard Wicki of Munich, president of TriGon Prods. in L.A. and a veep of production for Toni DiDio Film Co. and Idea Factory in Beverly Hills.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene, former personal public relations representative for Giancarlo Parretti, and stepdaughters Suzanne and Karen Stevens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the University Synagogue or the Motion Picture & Television Country House.
