Frederick S. Pierce, the American Film Institute’s newly elected chairman has announced his senior executive team.
Charles Fries, Howard Stringer and Liener Temerlin will serve as the board’s vice chairman while Tony Thomopoulos has been elected chairman of the executive committee.
“I am confident that this team of dedicated trustees will help to strengthen the AFI’s commitment to preservation, education and advocacy, and in doing so, ensure an exciting future for the institute,” Pierce said in a statement.
Fries is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Fries Entertainment. Stringer is president of the CBS/Broadcast Group in New York. Temerlin is chairman of the board of Temerlin McClain. Thomopoulos is president of Amblin Television in Los Angeles.
