Lifetime Television has promoted one and appointed another to senior VP positions within the company.
Meredith Wagner has been named senior VP, public affairs, Hearst/ABC-Viacom Entertainment services, the umbrella company that operates Lifetime and Lifetime Medical Television.
Also, Jennifer Young has joined the company as senior VP, marketing, Lifetime Television.
Wagner, who will continue to be responsible for directing all public affairs and public relations efforts for the two services, will add additional corporate responsibilities and duties. Wagner joined Lifetime as a manager of public affairs in 1987. She was named VP of public affairs in 1989.
In addition to her public relations duties, Wagner has spearheaded the network’s outreach campaigns such as “Women and Politics: A Lifetime Challenge.”
In her new position, Young will be responsible for marketing Lifetime to consumers, affiliates and the advertising community. Before coming to Lifetime, Young was VP, associate director, national broadcast, and international liaison at Foote, Cone & Belding.
