Creative Artists Agency is gaining one top director, and losing another.
Director Michael Mann, riding high with the success of his “The Last of the Mohicans,” has signed on at Creative Artists Agency, it was confirmed by a CAA spokesman Friday.
Meanwhile, longtime CAA client Peter Yates, represented by Robert Bookman, has reportedly left the agency. According to sources, Yates has landed at UTA.
Mann, who was formerly repped by ICM’s Jeff Berg, has directed a number of features, including “Thief,””The Keep” and “Manhunter.” He served as co-creator and exec producer of the TV series “Miami Vice” and “Crime Story.”
Yates recently directed “Year of the Comet.” His other films include “Bullitt ,””Breaking Away,””Suspect” and “Eyewitness.”
