Ted Koppel ankled from the independent docu production business. Citing increased duties at ABC News since the gulf war broke out, Koppel put the kibosh on Koppel Communications Inc. Koppel said: “There is no way of predicting how long the war and its aftermath will require the kind of coverage now in place. I am suspending operations at KCI in order to devote my energy to… ‘Nightline.’ “
