Don’t Phone Home

WC VB-TV programming chief Paul La Camera was recently asked about the station’s decision to delay Saturday-night programming rather than join the syndicated “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” in progress when a college football game ran overtime. La Camera said he stands by that move – it meant disgruntled Trekkies have stopped calling him at home on Saturday nights.

On another subject, WCVB’s hourly news updates, which will be presented on a 24-hour basis, start Jan. 21.
