Stuart W. Forster

Stuart W. Forster, 44, house physician for the Public Theater and the Second Stage, and husband of Second Stage co-artistic director Carole Rothman, died Jan. 11 in New York of a heart attack.

A specialist in internal medicine and in treating AIDS patients, Forster, known as Stubsy, practiced on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and treated many in the entertainment industries.

He was on the staff of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center and taught at Columbia U.

Also survived by his children, Charles and Molly; parents, Arnold and May; and sister, Janie Berman.
