Kjell Grede’s “Good Evening, Mr. Wallenberg” was the big winner in this year’s Golden Bugs Awards ceremony, held Feb. 11.
The film won the prizes (the Swedish equivalent of the Oscars) for best film, best director, best script (Grede) and best cinematography (Esa Vuorinen).
Borje Ahlstedt was named best actor for his part in “The Rabbit Man,” and Malin Ek won the best actress award for “The Guardian Angel.” The same part brought her a Felix award in Glasgow last December for best supporting actress.
Three Golden Bugs for “artistic merit” went to small production company Meyer-Ateljeerna, filmmaker Marie-Louise de Geer and importer Mattias Nohrborg.
As last year, the jury declined to award the Ingmar Bergman prize for achievement.
