“Murderous Decisions,” which had its world preem at MIP-TV, is a broadcast first – it is aired simultaneously on two channels, enabling viewers to switch between them for two versions of the storyline.
Shot in English, the 90-minute production was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and toplines Nils Tavernier, Mapi Galan, Michael Byrne and Marc Boone Jr.
Tube watchers can choose between an action-packed thriller or a psychological Hitchcock-style drama, or a combination of both. Plot tells the story from the heroine’s perspective on one channel and from her lover’s on the other.
“Murderous Decisions” was produced by Gemini Filmproduktion in association with Allianz, Sate), Praxino Pictures and Beta Film for TVE, La Cinq, ORF, WDR and ZDF.
Two friends from rival webs, Peter Nadermann of ZDF and Joachim Dennhardt of ARD, came up with the idea.
The teledrama will be aired at Christmastime over the WDR and ZDF in Germany and Channels 1 and 2 of Austria’s ORF network.
