For the first time in the history of the National Assn. of Theater Owners and Showest, foreign exhibs will participate in formal discussions with their American counterparts. Delegates from 17 countries will assess the film industry’s increasing globalization during a daylong powwow Feb. 4 at NATO/Showest in Las Vegas.
A record 400 overseas delegates will attend the National Assn. of Theater Owners confab, up from last year’s high of 323.

International boxoffice is getting more and more on a par with domestic boxoffice. The overseas release pattern of U.S. films is getting closer and closer to the U.S. break.”
