ALLYN STEWART has given up her six-year post as production v.p. at Warner Bros. to form her own company, Stewart Pictures, in an exclusive three-year development deal with Guber Peters Entertainment, a production unit of Columbia Pictures Entertainment. Under the pact, Stewart will be free to also produce and develop projects directly for CPE’s major production entities, Columbia Pictures and Tri-Star.

BONNIE SOLOW joined Samuel Goldwyn Co. as v.p of creative affairs on the east coast.

TERRY L. RENNACK, an 11-year veteran of Kansas City-based theater chain AMC Entertainment, appointed to the new position of manager, marketing services.

PHIL FEINER, head of Pacific Title’s optical department, named a v.p. of the company.

TOM McCARTHY JR. appointed supervisor of motion picture sound, editorial, for the Columbia Studios post-production facility.

LINDA R. KRULL joined pubrel firm Mike Hall Associates as a publicist. She was p.r. director for the Actors’ Fund of America.

EMILY J. LASKIN appointed associate director of development and public affairs at the American Film Institute.

TORY WHIPPLE named v.p., feature literary, at Barrett Benson McCartt & Weston in Beverly Hills. She previously was at Major Clients Agency, which was a predecessor of BBM&W.
