Sid Ganis’ Ghost Of A Chance At Par…… Might Make Columbia His New Haunt

Sidney Ganis’ producing career at Paramount was short lived. According to sources, he’s jumping to Columbia Pictures Entertainment as exec v.p. Ganis, as co-president of the Paramount Motion Picture Group, put in motion the year’s runaway hit, “Ghost.” But he seemed to get stuck with the blame for expensive summer disappointments like “Days Of Thunder” and “Another 48 HRS.,” and he was ousted from his post early this fall. Ganis was supposed to produce films at Par, but he will be toiling at Col very soon, Buzz hears.
