A custom record label directed by Jon Bon Jovi and distributed by Polygram will bow in April, according to a spokesman for the singer’s management firm.
Bon Jovi now records for Polygram’s Mercury imprint but will release future offerings on his own label, Underground Records, according to management.
First album release from the new custom label is Aldo Nova’s “Blood On The Bricks,” set to bow in April, with the title track released as the first single in late March.
Tentatively scheduled for a late May/June release are albums by rocker Billy Falcon and the first solo album by Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora. Sources say Bon Jovi’s band’s first offering on Underground is likely to emerge in 1992.
The new label’s operational functions will be shared by Polygram and McGhee Management, with Bon Jovi manager Doc McGhee expected to play a key role.
