The idea for this three-parter was hatched during Dino De Laurentiis’ production of King’s Firestarter, which also starred little Drew Barrymore. Asked to do another script for Barrymore, King sketched out an idea about a cat who protects a young girl from a threatening troll in her bedroom wall.
Unfortunately, that idea got tacked onto two other King short stories that De Laurentiis had film rights to, Quitters, Inc. and The L; Editorge, lighting the fuse for the ultimate bomb. The three stories just don’t connect and efforts to join them never work. However, an excellent roster of talent does try its best.Cat’s Eye
