Motor Psycho

Motor Psycho is a violent Russ Meyer production concerning three young bums on a rape-murder spree in a California desert town. Slick, well-made and initially absorbing, it features sex angles which kill the credibility of a script which itself is long on loose ends and short on moral compensation.

Motor Psycho is a violent Russ Meyer production concerning three young bums on a rape-murder spree in a California desert town. Slick, well-made and initially absorbing, it features sex angles which kill the credibility of a script which itself is long on loose ends and short on moral compensation.

Stephen Oliver, Joseph Cellini and Thomas Scott are the vagrants who, within the first five minutes, have viciously beaten Steve Masters and raped his wife Arshalouis Aivasian. Holle K. Winters is then assaulted while hubby Alex Rocco is down the road resisting the advances of busty Sharon Lee.

At length, Coleman Francis is beaten and accidently killed when the gang moves in on his younger wife, played by a gal named Haji. Rest of pic concerns Rocco’s trackdown of the trio, in which he is joined by Haji, left for dead after Oliver shoots her.

Meyer’s direction is good, while his interesting and crisp camera work is excellent.
