Elle Fanning: ‘Sidney Hall’ Was ‘The Best Script I’d Ever Read’

“Sidney Hall” may be packed with young up-and-comers — Elle Fanning, Blake Jenner, and more — but what the cast really wanted to talk about was the script. Fanning and Jenner joined fellow stars Michelle Monaghan and Logan Lerman and writer/director Shawn Christensen to talk about the movie at the Variety Studio presented by Orville Redenbacher’s at the Sundance Film Festival.

“The script was really, I can say, like, really the best script I’d ever read before,” gushed Fanning. “There are so many different characters in it, and so many different parts and little stories within the story, and you’re really following along.”

“I’d never felt so many different things while reading something, and this took me on such a wonderful ride,” added Jenner. “I loved it from the very start.”
