Patty Jenkins Discusses 'Wonder Woman's' Impact: 'We're Standing in This Crossroads'

Patty Jenkins talked with Variety during her cover shoot for the Power of Women L.A. issue about her work with the ARC Foundation, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine’s on-screen chemistry in “Wonder Woman,” and sparking a conversation with the film.

“I didn’t start to make the connection about the lightning rod it was going to hit about the conversation that wanted to be had until it opened,” she said in our “Variety Uncovered Presented by Dermstore” video. “I assumed it was going to be seen just as a superhero film. I feel like we’re standing in this crossroads of this conversation that wants to happen.”
