“We put a very personal film out; something that’s painful to write and painful to shoot and so I have to say that the reception to the film has been more than I really could have ever hoped,” said “Out of the Furnace” writer-director Scott Cooper. “Anything that isn’t a sequel or a cape movie or comicbooks is nearly impossible to get made, but fortunately from fade in to fade to black, the movie that you see is the movie that I wrote and shot. And the studio were really supportive.”
