Jessica Chastain Says 'Everyone's Happier' on Gender-Balanced Sets

Jessica Chastain and Holly Hunter praised female directors during Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” series.

“When there’s more balance on set in terms of more women on the crew, more women in positions of power — it’s just a healthier set to be on,” Chastain said. “Everyone’s happier. It’s a great place to be.”

The seventh season of Variety‘s “Actors on Actors,” presented by Google Home, will air from Jan. 2 to Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. on PBS SoCal KOCE.
