Jane Goodall on the 'Extraordinary Feeling' of Watching Documentary on Her Life for First Time

Director Brett Morgen joined the subject of his new documentary “Jane,” trailblazing conversationalist Jane Goodall, at the Variety Studio Presented by AT&T at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Morgen discussed the process of going through hours of archival footage to make the movie, and Goodall opened up about the first time she watched the film.

“When I saw it, it was a very extraordinary feeling which I find hard to put into words because it took me right back again,” she said. “I was that young woman who was out there with the chimpanzees living her dream.”
