‘Don Jon’: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson

What does a modern-day Don Juan love more than sex?

We find out in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s writing and directing feature debut. The comedy, previously called “Don Jon’s Addiction,” stars Gordon-Levitt as a porn-obsessed meathead who falls for Scarlett Johansson’s character. Tony Danza and Juilanne Moore also star.

“Don Jon” was a hit at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where Variety critic Peter Debruge wrote, “only an actor as appealing as Joseph Gordon-Levitt could pull off the role he creates for himself in ‘Don Jon’s Addiction,’ an endearingly masturbatory look at how a culture of objectification erodes our capacity for intimacy.”

The film is set for an October 18 domestic release.
