Don Johnson, Vince Vaughn, and Udo Kier stopped by the Variety Studio Presented by AT&T at the Toronto Film Festival to discuss their upcoming crime thriller “Brawl in Cell Block 99.”
Johnson also reflected on the state of the movie business as sequels and spinoffs reach saturation.
“Just generally speaking, the studios are not making a lot of original stuff, they’re making a lot of derivative stuff,” Johnson said. “And that’s okay, that’s entertainment. But original stuff is what gets me up in the morning.”
