Regal Entertainment Group will add 1,500 3D screens to its cinema circuit and has pacted with RealD to provide the projection systems for those screens.
LAS VEGAS -- Consumers may soon be able to toss those pricey 3D glasses aside. Or just not buy them in the first place to watch their 3D TVs at home.
Sony's consumer electronics division announced today it has licensed RealD's stereoscopic 3D (S3D) system for its consumer electronics, notably its Bravia line of HDTV sets.
