Banijay Group

Since 2013, well-seasoned Italian executive Marco Bassetti has been CEO of Banijay Group, which merged with Zodiak in 2015 to become a pan-European production powerhouse with revenues of an estimated $1 billion. While Banijay, which owns Bunim/Murray Prods, is best known for producing top-rated reality formats such as MTV’s “Styl’D” and Oxygen’s “Love Games,” the company recently appointed Takis Candilis, the former boss of Lagardere Entertainment, to expand Banijay’s global presence in the drama arena.

Before taking the helm of Banijay, Bassetti founded the Italian production company Ambra Multimedia, which was acquired by Banijay in 2013. Bassetti previously worked as managing director and president of Endemol Italy, and president of Endemol Group. In 2014, he was selected as the first Italian to give the coveted opening keynote speech at the MIPTV in Cannes.
