In an era when most new reality competition series fail to deliver an audience, Gordon Ramsay and his raft of programs remain a go-to for Fox’s prime-time schedule more than a decade after his “Hell’s Kitchen” first sizzled.

The Scotsman’s cooking competition “MasterChef” is a summer staple for Fox, along with “MasterChef Junior,” which airs in-season and shows perhaps a less combustible side of the fiery host, who has been described as a perfectionist.

“I go into every restaurant, every program, as if it’s the first day,” the no-nonsense Ramsay told Variety in 2014 of his approach to his business ventures. “I give 110%. Because it’s not that money that turns me on. The fundamental crux of a successful chef is being true to what you do.”

Ramsay pulled the plug on his restaurant makeover series “Kitchen Nightmares” in 2014, but he’s got several projects in the works. His American ventures for 2017 include online cooking classes and Fox’s adaptation of “The F Word,” a live cooking-variety series based on Ramsay’s U.K. show of the same name. He also endures hospitality at its worst in the makeover series “Hotel Hell.”

Since partnering with All3Media to launch Studio Ramsay, which develops and produces unscripted and scripted programs, he’s remained on a hot streak. ITV and Studio Ramsay have teamed up to produce “Gordon on Cocaine,” a new two-part series following Ramsay as he travels the world to uncover the secrets of the drug. He also brought his ITV series “Culinary Genius” to U.S. Fox affiliates for a three week test run this summer.
