Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino have signed a multi-year overall deal with Amazon Studios, the streamer announced Monday.The husband and wife team currently serve as executive producers on the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," which is written and directed by Sherman-Palladino. Daniel H. Black is the chair of Greenberg Traurig’s West Coast Entertainment and Media Practice and co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Motion Pictures, Television, Cable and Radio Division, Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries.
Black has served as lead counsel on many transactions with major motion picture studios, television networks online content producers, as well as on-air personalities and individual showrunners and producers.
Originally on staff at Columbia and Paramount studios, he has since represented a mix of large companies, smaller clients and startups, including the BBC, Boneyard Entertainment China LLC, Broadcast Film Critics Association, Conde Nast Entertainment, writer-producer Natalie Krinsky, Microsoft Corp., TV show creator-writer-producer Robert Padnick, The Pokemon Company International, the cosmetics company Revlon, and Reelz.
He has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer, as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Entertainment Lawyers in America, and as one of The Best Lawyers in America: Entertainment Law in Motion Picture and Television.
