Costumer Robert Tanella, 42, died Dec. 16 at his home in Los Angeles of complications from AIDS. He was most recently on the "Cheers" crew and had been with the show for 10 seasons.

Blues guitarist Albert King, 69, died Dec. 21 after a heart attack. King influenced Eric Clapton and other rock greats and saw his own career revive as they popularized the blues.

Wayne Satz, an award-winning and controversial TV reporter who broke the McMartin Pre-School molestation story in 1984, was found dead at his Studio City home, authorities said. He was 47.
