A “Juno”-less festival grows in New York

The Big Apple Film Festival is enjoying its fourth year "promoting the highest quality films from the New York City independent film community."  Check out the final two days of the event, including a panel discussion: “Film Distribution in the New Age” on Saturday including Peter Goldwyn, VP Acquisitions, Samuel Goldwyn Films (Super Size Me, Raising Victor Vargas), Clémence Taillandier, Head of Theatrical Sales, Zeitgeist Films, Brian Chirls, Four Eyed Monsters, Erik Davis, Managing Editor, Cinematical.com, and moderated by Aaron Levine, Gen Art.

Fest advice for filmmakers

OurStage.com has a good, sage advice from SXSW's Matt Dentler in this video interview.  Everyone learns something from this video, even Matt (from his blog):  "The most important thing I learned: I need to get back to the gym soon."
