Duo to co-direct Singapore festival

Zhang, Hadi to head up annual event

The Singapore Film Festival has appointed Zhang Wenjie and Wahyuni A. Hadi as co-directors of the 21-year-old event.

They replace the trio of Philip Cheah, Leslie Ho and Teo Swee Leng, who have headed the fest since its inception.

Hadi was manager of this year’s fest and was previously commissioning editor at broadcaster MediaCorp’s Arts Central. Zhang was a programmer with the National Museum of Singapore’s cinematheque. The pair also were programmers of the Substation’s Moving Images film program.
