'Party' pair to create CBS pilot

Eye has provided a put pilot commitment to the duo, who will exec produce the fall 2001 project via their overall deal at Columbia TriStar Television. Series, which revolves around a group of young cardiologists, will focus more on relationships than medicine and won't be as dark as "Party."
Keyser and Lippman have worked with CBS before, developing a cop drama for the network two years ago. Project did not get the nod to go to series.
Scribes are faves of CBS topper Leslie Moonves and drama development senior VP Nina Tassler. Keyser and Lippman were writers on Warner Bros. TV's "Sisters" while Moonves and Tassler were at the studio.
In addition to "Party of Five," which ended its run on Fox last spring, Keyser/Lippman created the Fox dramas "Significant Others" and "Time of Your Life." Their other credits include writing for "L.A. Law" and "Equal Justice."
In other development news, CBS has given a pilot order to "JAG" creator and exec producer Don Bellisario and scribe Paul Levine. Tentatively titled "First Monday," skein will revolve around the justices of the Supreme Court and their legal clerks.
Levine is a former journo and trial lawyer who now works as an exec story editor on "JAG." In addition to the long-running hit "JAG," Bellisario created and exec produced hits such as "Magnum, P.I.," "Quantum Leap" and "Airwolf."
