The contestants for the upcoming third season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” were announced Friday by Emmy Award winning host RuPaul. Returning queens Aja, BenDeLaCreme, Chi Chi DeVayne, Kennedy Davenport, Milk, Morgan McMichaels, Shangela, Thorgy Thor and Trixie Mattel will take the runway once again to battle for the crown and a place in the “Drag Race” Hall of Fame this winter when the show premieres on VH1.
“For ‘All Stars’ season three, the expectations are high, and these mighty queens do not disappoint,” executive producer and host RuPaul said. “These girls are talented, hungry, and ready to do whatever it takes.”
These nine queens represent a wide variety of drag styles and previous seasons of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Hailing from the second season is Morgan McMichaels, who came in eighth place, and Shangela, who was the first queen eliminated that year. Shangela also competed in the third season, where she came in sixth.
BenDeLaCreme came in fifth place but also won the title of “Miss Congeniality” during Season 6, a season that also saw Milk take ninth place. Trixie Mattel came in sixth during Season 7, while Kennedy Davenport went all the way to fourth place that same season. Chi Chi DeVayne came in fourth on her season, Season 8, while Thorgy Thor took sixth place that season. Aja was last seen just last season (Season 9) where she came in ninth place.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” will see Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews return to the judging panel alongside RuPaul.
