Atlas Distribution Company has set an Oct. 27 release date for faith-based drama “Let There Be Light” with conservative political commentator Sean Hannity executive producing, Variety has learned.

The film is directed by and stars Kevin Sorbo, who starred in 2014’s faith-based hit “God’s Not Dead,” which grossed $60 million domestically.

“Let There Be Light” is the story of an atheist who has a near-death experience that challenges his beliefs about love, God, and family. The film also features music stars Dionne Warwick and Travis Tritt.

Kevin Sorbo’s wife and co-star Sam Sorbo conceptualized and co-wrote “Let There Be Light” with Dan Gordon (“Highway to Heaven”). The three produced the movie.

“Liberal Hollywood has increasingly moved the bar, making simple and honest films with solid faith and family values harder to find,” said Hannity. “I felt compelled to start bringing quality films to the millions of forgotten Americans who want to see more of these heart-warming and entertaining stories that reflect our Judeo-Christian, all-American values. I’ve been honored to work with true talent like Kevin Sorbo, and I’m very proud of ‘Let There Be Light.'”

A new theatrical trailer for “Let There Be Light” will debut on Tuesday on Fox News Network’s “Hannity.”

Paul Lalonde’s Cloud Ten Creative Services is handling the marketing and promotions for the film. “‘Let There Be Light’ is not just a great movie, but it really is the right message at the right time. Sean Hannity has really put his money where his mouth is and he’s given every patriotic American and every Christian in America a movie worth rallying behind.”

Sorbo gained fame by starring in the series “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and “Andromeda.” Atlas Distribution Company, formed by CEO John Aglialoro, is handling distribution on Robin Williams’ “Absolutely Anything” and Charlie Sheen’s “9/11.”

“I felt compelled to start bringing quality films to the millions of forgotten Americans…”

    When can we expect that?

  2. M. Cahoon says:

Congratulations Shaun Hannity, I will go and see your movie. Yes let there be light!

  3. Claudia says:

Dude is all about the money. People take his act so seriously. It’s about the money.

  4. Trump is wholesome pure fresh air with so many theft and spend snakes surrounding Washington.

  5. Don't Preach To Me says:

Sean Hannity is Trump’s #1 supporter and Trump is an amoral, unethical individual. The nasty, filthy language coming out of Trump’s mouth and that of his staff is disgusting. Only a hypocrite would have no problem with Hannity or Trump. They are not good people.

    • John Q says:

Better tap those brakes. This country is broken, and as a business owner- I sure know who could get this train back on the tracks, and one would be a “hypocrite” to think the Hillary could…..

      • Rep says:

Don’t Preach To Me: Did you go to the Pu**y rallies where the “women” spoke more vulgar than Trump ever did? Where they wore vagina costumes?
That was really classy and “so woman” NOT!

      • jsm1963 says:

I don’t think you know what hypocrisy means. A person can’t claim moral superiority and support Trump and Hannity.

  6. Brainwashing Middle American rednecks with fairy tales for hundreds of years now. Evolve redneck monkeys!

  7. John Q says:

I think many of us agree Hollywood has gone too far into too many directions. One might say “stale”. New ownership, just like the MSM. Back when we saw the comic of a news anchor reporting the news sweating, with only tip of the rifle visible- and a soldier holding the gun (communist country). Now, it’s the network owner’s with the agenda holding that gun.
Sean Hannity is a hero – at first I could not stand his voice- Broooklyn hard accent. But I couldn’t be further from the truth. America’s history is being torn down right in front of us and removed from our schools. Civil war for instance was for more than slaverey. Cotton had a lot to do with it too. That’s not a joke. Either side, you were bound to fight or face on the spot execution. We must not erase history lest we want it repeated! My great grandparents met and married in Texas. He was a conductor from Ohio for the railroad, she worked in her fathers restaurant near the depot, they met and married. Their father’s both fought in the civil war, one north, one south. She was not allowed up north till that father had passed. I got a dog in both sides of the fight- leave it alone.
The fate of the world IS in God’s hands. It isn’t going to end here pretty. Check your facts and stream the movie Monumental by Kirk Cameron. A historical movie backed up with facts. Watch it with you children as they are being indroctrined with a mentality of hate for America. Find out why the pilgrim really left, and it took more than one try. Many died and find out why. This what we have came with a heavy price that so many don’t even have a clue.
    God Bless America.

  8. Barbara Somers says:

    Looking forward to it!

  9. Ana says:

Good to know that after 8 years of anti-Christianity, anti-Judaism USA can begin to heal with soul-soothing films.

  10. Joe Wilson says:

Christianist Sean Hannity is a serial slanderer with a long history of close associations with prominent, high profile white supremacists, one being his radio mentor Bob Grant, whose racism and promotion of neo-Nazis can be googled and whom Hannity brought onto the stage at a New Jersey “Freedom Concert” in 2007. Over the years, Hannity has consistently and zealously championed the causes of violent white racists, e.g. Justin Volpe, George Zimmerman, Cliven Bundy.

    • Anthony Sakal says:

Joe, today there is no white racism of any significance no matter how much you plead that there is and wish it so to satisfy you demented need for a credible narrative. There is only racism and it often comes from people you. Tell us the truth. You voted for Hillary Clinton and need to create a false narrative to defend your reasoning. You always vote this way and can’t defend yourself when it comes to facts, logic and history. That’s why people like you need the Russian connection, a phony video regarding Benghazi and racist narratives. You are what you are and Hannity, and the rest of us, have understood your MO for a very long time.

  11. Steve says:

If conservative Christians want to finance and distribute movies reflecting their beliefs, good for them. Every group should create their own culture. But does Hannity have to promote the movie with right-wing anti-Hollywood butthurt? And the publicist should remember that plenty of patriotic Americans are atheists or otherwise non-Christian.

  12. Jon Stevens says:

If it has Kevin Sorbo in it….it is doomed to go right to DVD. All of his other Christian movies have,…and I’m a Christian.

  13. mclowe says:

Great work, Sean! Time to start clearing out the swamp in Hellywood!

  14. tricia says:

Your eye-catching use of the word “Exclusive” on this story is misleading. This news is old news that Sean Hannity himself revealed on his own show a few months ago when Kevin Sorbo joined Sean on the Fox News broadcast in person. I myself am a fellow journalist, and I know the meaning and proper use of the word “Exclusive.” Your use of the word “Exclusive” is an embarrassment to Variety and to your chops as a journalist.

  15. Julius says:

Another fantasy movie where God can actually solve problems in the real world rather than just making weak minded believers feel better about their pitiful lives.

  16. I directed Kevin and Sam Sorbo in 2014’s Alongside Night and I’m credited under “Additional Appearances” in John Aglialoro’s Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt?

    Sean Hannity?

  17. Thanks to Sean & all others for making movies worth watching. So tired of the gross, nasty, & so boring movies that has not plot or substance. Cant wait.

  18. This movie sounds heartbreakingly boring.
