Asia Ireton has been appointed president of Cente Service Corporation, effective Oct. 1, 2017. Cente, a Tohokushinsha Film Corporation group company, functions as the U.S. arm of the Japanese media leader established in 1961.
Cente’s current business activities include production of television programs and commercials, film and television acquisition for distribution in Japan, and investment in film and digital content. Ireton will be responsible for leading the company’s overall strategy, day-to-day operations and new business development, working from Cente’s Los Angeles offices.
Ireton was most recently GM of History Channel Japan since 2013. Previously, she served as long-time editor-in-chief of Movie/TV Marketing, the Japan-based entertainment trade paper.
