UTA Hires Comedy Central Exec Miro Terrell

Comedy Central executive Miro Terrell has left the cable channel and joined UTA as a television agent. In her new role, she will represent comedic actors and writers in television, working across the agency’s talent and literary departments. Based in New York, Terrell will focus on packaging specials for UTA clients.

Terrell spent seven years at Comedy Central, working in the cable channel’s talent and specials group. She served as director of talent and specials, scouting talent for Comedy Central’s development pipeline and working on stand-up specials such as “Pete Davidson: SMD,” “Roy Wood Jr.: Father Figure,” “Dan Soder: Not Special,” “Nate Bargatze: Full Time Magic” and four seasons of “The Half Hour,” which included specials from Michael Che, Chris DiStefano and Nikki Glaser. She began her tenure at the network in 2009, working in the talent and records group.

Before joining Comedy Central, Terrell served as a casting associate and office production assistant. Ahe worked on commercial shoots for production companies such as Hungry Man, Moxie and Smuggler.

Terrell graduated from the theater program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2007 with a BFA in design and directing.
