Friday night’s season finale of “Real Time With Bill Maher” will also be streamed live on YouTube in addition to its linear run on HBO. “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver” will get a similar treatment for its season finale on Sunday: The episode in its entirety will be made available on YouTube just after it finishes airing on HBO.

National Geographic has released the first images of Geoffrey Rush as Albert Einstein on its upcoming series “Genius.” Produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, the 10 episodes of “Genius” will follow Einstein from patent clerk to famed physicist. Rush plays the elder Einstein, while Johnny Flynn (“Lovesick”) plays the father of relativity in his earlier years. Rush and Flynn are joined in the cast by Emily Watson, Michael McElhatton, Seth Gabel, Samantha Colley, Richard Topol, Vincent Kartheiser and others.
“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris will receive the Rod Serling Award for Advancing Social Justice Through Popular Media. Ithaca College will present Barris with the award on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Paley Center For Media. The award honors “The Twilight Zone” director and former Ithaca professor Rod Serling’s spearheading efforts in the television industry. Barris will be recognized for his similar pioneering efforts on “Black-ish,” where he brings controversial subject matter surrounding topics such as police brutality and voter suppression to the fore.
