The first season of “Outlander” dealt with the reactions and emotions Caitriona Balfe’s time-traveling nurse, Claire Randall, went through as she found herself shuttled from post-World War II Scotland to that exact location in 1743.

The newly released teaser for the second season of the Starz series shows that Claire is still stuck in her alternate worlds, although she does seem to be adjusting mostly. In her present day, she finds herself on her way to America with her first husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies). In the past, she and her 18th-century Scotland husband, Jamie (Sam Heughan), head to France in an attempt to stop the Jacobite risings. In both cases, she’s very much pregnant.

“Outlander” is created by Ronald D. Moore and based on Diana Gabaldon’s book series. Season two premieres in April on Starz and follows the second book in the series, “Dragonfly in Amber.”

  1. Pat Heurtin says:

I wish to pre-order the next DVD of Outlander. I have Season 1, Part 1 and 2. Thought the casting and acting were excellent. When might I be able to place my order?

  2. B. Lodermeier says:

Bought season one dvd volumes 1 & 2. Love the show and can’t wait for season 2!

  3. Jennifer Goldman says:

Neither Menzies nor Balfe could have been nominated for anything if not for the acting prowess and presence of Sam Heughan. It is a travesty that he has been omitted. I think it must be due to the glut of popular nominees in his category.

  4. Diane Reader says:

    Wow Can’t wait for April!
