The young actor will play Noah, one of three siblings that breaks away from a boring temple tour in the jungle and find themselves involved in a real life mission comprised of obstacles they must complete to escape alive. The TV movie is based on the popular ’90s Nickelodeon game show.
Critchley joins the previously announced co-lead Jet Jurgensmeyer, who will play the youngest brother Dudley.
Critchley starred in Broadway’s revival of “Waiting for Godot” alongside Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. He recently wrapped Paul Becker’s “Breaking Brooklyn,” opposite Lou Gossett, Jr., which is slated to debut sometime this year. He is repped by Paradigm Talent Agency and Mara Entertainment.
News of the “Legends of the Hidden Temple” TV movie was first reported by Variety. The Viacom-owned kids’ cabler is also working on a two-part movie based on the 1996-2004 animated series “Hey Arnold!”
