Fox Sets Premiere Dates for ‘The Mick,’ ‘Bones,’ Midseason Series

Fox has set premiere dates for its winter midseason lineup — including new series “The Mick,” “My Kitchen Rules,” and “APB” as well as returning series “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow.”

Not on the schedule for winter are freshman dramas “Pitch” and “The Exorcist.” No determination has yet been made on whether either will receive a full-season pickup from Fox. Freshman series “Kicking & Screaming” and “Making History,” originally slated for midseason, have now been pushed to spring with specific premiere dates yet to be determined.

Comedy “The Mick” will make a special premiere Sunday, Jan. 1, then settle in two nights later to its Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. time period. “APB” will premiere Monday at 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 following the second part of the series premiere of “24: Legacy.” As previously announced, the first part of the rebooted action series’ premiere will air one night earlier, following the Super Bowl.

“New Girl” will move to Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 3, leading into “The Mick.” The final season of “Bones” — dubbed “Bones: The Final Chapter” — will premiere that same night at 9 p.m.

“Hell’s Kitchen” will move to Thursday nights beginning with a special two-hour episode Jan. 5. The following week on Jan. 12, the Gordon Ramsey cooking contest will settle in at 8-9 p.m., with new celebrity cooking show “My Kitchen Rules” debuting at 9 p.m. Ramsey’s “MasterChef Junior will take over the 8 p.m. time period Feb. 9, after “Hell’s Kitchen” ends its season. The cooking-show block takes over Thursday nights from “Rosewood” and “Pitch,” which have lagged severely in the ratings behind other broadcast offering for the evening. “Rosewood” will shift to Fridays at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 6, followed by the return of “Sleepy Hollow”

Fox had already announced yesterday that new Lee Daniels-produced drama “Star” will debut on Dec. 14, immediately following the Season 3 midseason premiere of “Empire.”
