Nothing is easy in the world of USA’s “Colony,” but in the Jan. 28 episode, titled “98 Seconds,” our husband and wife heroes, Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies), will find their resolve tested in new ways, now that the realities of Will’s alliance with Proxy Alan Snyder (Peter Jacobson) are beginning to sink in.

In Variety‘s exclusive sneak peek below, the strain of Katie’s own secrets and the couple’s collusion with Snyder are beginning to take their toll. The two are still determined to retrieve their missing son, Charlie, no matter what it takes, but Katie is starting to worry that they’ve made a deal with the devil and have no guarantee of reciprocity.

Here’s USA’s official synopsis for episode 103: Katie’s first mission leads her to question her commitment to the cause. Will’s hunt for Geronimo draws him into the Resistance’s crosshairs. Bram’s girlfriend needs him to keep a secret.

“Colony” has already established itself as a solid ratings performer for USA; Thursday’s second episode improved on its Jan. 14 premiere ratings in Nielsen’s “live plus-3” estimates — rising 4% in adults 18-49 (1.17 million vs. 1.12 million) and by 9% in adults 25-54 (1.34 million vs. 1.23 million) week to week. The show is also doing well in time-shifted viewing, with episode 102 rising 140% in live plus-3 versus its same-day number in both the 18-49 and 25-54 demos, and by 116% in total viewers (2.72 million vs. 1.26 million).

Executive produced by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, “Colony” is a co-production between Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions. Nelson McCormick also executive produces.

“Colony” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
