The linear channel and DreamWorks On Demand will both premiere on the Starhub platform March 3. They will be offered in HD and with English and Mandarin Chinese language options as part of two pre-existing bouquets of channels, or as a DreamWorks Pack costing S$8.56 + tax (US$6 + tax) per month.
The channel’s initial line-up will include DWA’s signature series “Dragons: Race to the Edge,” from the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise, and “Dinotrux,” DWA’s first original series.
Other shows include “All Hail King Julien,” “The Adventures of Puss in Boots,” “Dawn of the Croods” and “The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show.”
The launch of the channel will coincide with the theatrical release in Singapore of DWA’s feature film “Kung Fu Panda 3,” and the channel will include “Panda” shorts “Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Furious Five” and “Secrets of the Masters.”
The DreamWorks Channel was launched last year in Malaysia and Thailand.
HBO Asia is managing affiliate sales, marketing and technical services for the new channel.
