Kanye West may have drawn rave reviews for his “SNL” performance last weekend, but behind the scenes it was a different story.

Page Six has released audio from West’s pre-show meltdown, which was supposedly caused when NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” techies tore out the shiny stage floor that West had requested because it was reflecting the stage lights in a distracting way.

A source in West’s camp told Complex that West was not yelling at “SNL” staffers but was “venting his frustration in a private moment with his team.”

Listen to Kanye’s epic meltdown backstage (Audio):

“Look at that sh–, they took my f—in’ stage off of ‘SNL’ without asking me,” West can be heard saying. “Now I’m bummed. That and Taylor Swift, fake a–,” he said in reference to his recent beef with the singer over his lyrics in the song “Famous,” which Swift’s camp deemed “misogynistic.” “Now I ain’t gonna do this. We’re gonna break the motherf—ing Internet.”

He went on to state his place among cultural giants including Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Picasso and even the biblical Paul.

“Are they f—ing crazy? Whoa by 50 percent — Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, f—ing Picasso and Escobar — by 50 percent more influential than any other human being. Don’t f— with me. Don’t f— with me. Don’t f— with me. By 50 percent dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, ‘Ye.”

West also supposedly threatened to walk out in the middle of the performance during the live broadcast. He ended up performing two songs off his new album, “The Life of Pablo,” without incident.

Surrounding the release of his latest album, West has been a fixture in the news. He alleged via Twitter that he’s $53 million in debt.

“My number one enemy has been my ego… there is only one throne and that’s God’s …” West tweeted on Wednesday.

what da ya’ know, another whiny black. Are there any that don’t beg? This idiot is 53 Million in the hole and he expects Mark Zuck to GIVE him the money. There is only one kind of people who would be that spoiled and still beg. They should have taken his bluff and shown him the door at SNL. Does this guy really think the show would fold without him? What he needed was for one of the security guys to take him out to the alley and give him an attitude correction. One of these days this brat is going to write a bigger check with his mouth than he can’t cash with his ass.

    2. Laila says:

      Moronic idiot

    3. Theodore says:

The article says “rave reviews”. From where? His SNL performance was literally the worst live music performance I’ve ever seen. A boring, Autotuned nightmare that seemed to have been written in three minutes on the back of a napkin. Is this what is considered musical greatness these days? LOL

    4. Bobbi says:

I read these articles in hopes that someone, ANYONE, will have something positive to say about this guy…that he has proven to have redeeming value, but it just never seems to happen. We need to STOP MAKING STUPID PEOPLE FAMOUS…but how?

    5. LymonLemon says:

Can someone just put this fool out to pasture so we can all move on?

    6. Phil Goldman says:

Hey Kanye… News Flash, the only person that believes your Bull $hit is the person looking back at you in the mirror. You have ZERO musical talent. You rhyme words… that’s it, Bro..
      Seriously dude, grow up.

    7. Bill B. says:

Is this some illegitimate child of Trump?! They seem awfully similar.

    8. NoKanye says:

This guy is still in the spotlight? He seems to be trying awfully hard to stay relevant. Just go away Kanye, just go away.

    9. Jinxi Richow says:

Jeez, Yeez, puh-leez. Can’t you seez you beez trippin.’

    10. edieppa2 says:

      By 100% he’s a total idiot.

    11. Jimmy Green says:

delusional .. at least 50% more delusional than anyone for the next thousand years. a complete and total worthless POS.

    12. Michael K says:

Essentially a non-talent in the scheme of things and probably unworthy of anybody’s time or interest.

    13. Jojo says:

His ego is annoying but whatever, there are tons of entertainers with giant egos. The bigger problem is that his music totally sucks.

    14. HPR says:

Someone in his inner circle needs to wake up to the fact that he isn’t mentally well. This behavior is like a GIANT red flag.

      • Jo Mama says:

Isn’t well my ass, he’s just not a good person. He’s made this clear. He should rot in Hell.

        • Phil Goldman says:

How can anyone really blame Taylor Swift for the immaturity of Kanye. By the way, if a white male singer jumped on stage when a black female artist was winning an award and claimed she didn’t deserve it, he’d be blacklisted… something to think about. It’s called a double standard.

        • seriously? says:

You’re not well if you seriously believe an egotistical pop star deserves to rot in hell, how about some proportion in your thinking? And by the way they’re ALL egotistical, how else can they do the job they do, Kanye West’s crime is that he doesn’t hide a thing. Miss Swift on the other hand…For starters she clearly set him up, there’s no way he’d be privately unraveling about it if his version of events wasn’t accurate, which does not make her a great person either, just a much less honest one.

    15. Big D says:

Gee..Kanye had a backstage meltdown? Color me mehhh!

    16. wow says:

    17. J M Schabazz says:

Is it just me, or does kanye’s rant sound like something you would hear out of Tracy Morgan’s character on, 30 Rock?

    18. rowan77 says:

What was that from LA Reid saying Kanye was a humble guy? Apparently he was talking about other Kanye, because this one has an ego the size of Wyoming. What a D-bag.

    19. Kubrick = Genius says:

Well, I’d happily dive into another viewing of Kubrick’s 2001 or BARRY LYNDON or A CLOCKWORK ORANGE than anything Mr. KWest puts out.
