Eagles guitarist, vocalist and founding member Glenn Frey died Monday at the age of 67, and it didn’t take long for Hollywood and the music community alike to voice their condolences on social media.

Figures from Steve Martin to Carole King mourned his death, which was due to complications of rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, said the band in a statement. More tributes will undoubtedly continue to pour out on Monday as news spreads.

Don Henley issued a statement about Frey on Monday, writing, “Glenn was the one who started it all. He was the spark plug, the man with the plan. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music and a work ethic that wouldn’t quit.”

See some of the tributes below, updated as more are released.
