Taylor Swift’s “1989” was named best pop vocal album to kick off the afternoon “Premiere Ceremony” of the 58th annual Grammy Awards, being held at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. Live.
Swift is nominated in seven categories at this year’s awards, including album, song and record of the year. Winners are determined by ballots from 13,000 voting members of the Recording Academy.
This afternoon, 75 of this year’s 83 Grammy winners were revealed at the Premiere Ceremony. The major awards in the four top general categories, which also includes best new artist, will be presented at Staples Center during the evening show, which will be televised live from Staples Center at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).
