Broadway veterans Robert Ahrens and Chris Aniello have opened up Live Wire Theatrical Management, a new general management company for stage productions.
The New York-based firm will focus on economic budgeting, including capitalization and running costs, with an eye toward keeping expenses low in order to sustain a long commercial run. Ahrens and Aniello first worked together as general managers on last season’s disaster-movie sendup “Disaster!”
Ahren, who started his career as an Off Broadway general manager (“Full Gallop”) and developed the musical “Xanadu” for Broadway, has produced Broadway concerts including “The Temptations and the Four Tops” and “Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons,” and general manages the Broadway League’s annual “Stars in the Alley.” He also was a the executive producer of the original UK staging of “Finding Neverland.”
Aniello, meanwhile, has managed shows including “Fela!,” “Rock of Ages,” “Honeymoon in Vegas” and “Amazing Grace.”
Live Wire will have offices in midtown.
