Whoopi Goldberg on Oscar Diversity: ‘Change Is a B-tch’

On the red carpet before the Oscars ceremony, Variety talked to Whoopi Goldberg about making the Oscars more diverse.

“It’s not just black artists,” Goldberg said. “It’s Asian artists and women and Hispanic artists and Middle Eastern artists. There’s a lot of under-representation.”

When asked if she thought people in charge were listening, she said, “We’ll find out. Change is a b-tch.”
