“Squad Goals” don’t even come close to describe the avidity of “Suicide Squad.”

Entertainment Weekly released new photos from the upcoming anti-hero film on Thursday. The film features an all-star cast including Will Smith (Deadshot), Jared Leto (The Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (June Moone/Enchantress) and more.

One photo features Robbie behind bars, reading a book and prepared to sip from a tiny cup, pinky out. Another shows Leto’s menacing profile. Other photos include Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Common (Monster T), and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang).

The film follows the events of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in which Waller instills the help of the felonious Suicide Squad. After the highly-anticipated “Dawn of Justice” proved to be a commercial and critical flop earlier this year, “Suicide Squad” hopes to exceed expectations. A sequel has already been planned, with principal photography scheduled for 2017.

“Suicide Squad” is scheduled for a worldwide release Aug. 5. See all the photos below.

  1. JK says:

@Arya Roshanian show me just one evidence of the comercial flop of BVS. You don’t have one!!!!. That film made a large profit, so the only flop is your uninformed and malicious statement

  2. Jim says:

$872 million is a flop? BVS is an extremely misunderstood comic book movie. Many, many people loved this film and this constant beat down by critics is unfair.

  3. Ben says:

Looks like an extremely ugly and depressing movie

  4. Richard says:

BvS may have been a critical flop but stating its underwhelming performance was a commercial flop is not totally accurate. On the other hand the announced sequel doesn’t necessarily mean anything more than hype and not the quality of the upcoming release and WB needs to build excitement for thier DC movie universe.
