Poll: What’s the Worst Video Game Movie Adaptation?

To say that video games have had a rough history on the big screen would be an understatement.

While upcoming video game-inspired movies like “Warcraft” (which received less-than-spectacular reviews on Tuesday) and “Assassin’s Creed” are drawing buzz, video game fans are understandably weary, given decades-old history.

Who can forget the disastrous “Super Mario Bros.” in 1993, which sullied the names of two innocent Brooklyn plumbers? Or maybe the much more recent “Pixels,” despite the star presence of Adam Sandler, left even worse memories. We’ve compiled a selection of those video game-inspired movies below — vote to weigh in which one tarnished the genre the most. And if we didn’t list the most egregious, in your opinion, tell us what it is in the comments below.

UPDATE: This poll has been closed, with “Super Mario Bros.” coming out on top (or bottom?) of the worst video games.
