Warner Bros. has acquired the pitch “Judgement Day” from Argentinean writer Matias Caruso.
Guy Ritchie, Lionel Wigram and Jeff Ludwig will produce the project. Ludwig will oversee the project.
The logline is being kept under wraps, but can be described as an action-thriller about the end of days. Niija Kuykendall and Jon Gonda are overseeing for the studio.
Caruso’s star has been on the rise following his break-out spec “Carnival,” which landed on last year’s Black List. He most recently helmed the action pic “Mayhem,” which stars Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving.
Caruso is represented by CAA and attorney Matthew Sugarman at Weintraub Tobin. Ritchie is also repped by CAA.
