Chaz Bono Joins ‘Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Chaz Bono has joined the cast of “Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets.”

Other recent additions are Edi Gathegi (“The Twilight Saga,” “X-Men: First Class”), Derek Mears (“Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters,” “Friday the 13th”) and Preeti Desai (former Miss Great Britain).

Most recently, Bono appeared as a guest star on “The Secret Life of an American Teenager” and completed his show “Being Chaz” in 2012. Gathegi was a guest star on nine episodes of “The Blacklist” and two episodes of “Into the Badlands,” and Mears previously appeared on “Sleepy Hollow” as a guest star.

“Gods and Secrets” marks producer Adi Shankar’s directorial debut alongside co-director and longtime creative collaborator Stewart Yost. The film explores the darker ramifications of a world with superheroes, aiming to put a new spin on the iconic superhero genre to surprise longtime comic fans.

Shawn Deloache, who also wrote “New Adventures of Peter and Wendy,” penned “Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets.” Jenni Powell (“The Lizzie Bennet Diaries”) is producing.

Previously announced cast members of “Gods and Secrets” include “Twilight” stars Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone, “Glee” duo Max Adler and Josh Sussman, Denise Richards, Jane Seymour, Sharni Vinson, Andy Milonakis, Perez Hilton, Shekhar Kapur, Diamond Dallas Page and John Morrison.
